Preview Roundups
January 06, 2018
Golden State at L.A. Clippers 3:30 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors cemented their status atop the Western Conference with a win at the Houston Rockets on Thursday despite being without Kevin Durant (calf). The Warriors will try follow that up and ride record-breaking forward Draymond Green to a fourth consecutive victory when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.
Boston at Brooklyn 6:00 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets have played the Boston Celtics tight this season and they enter the third matchup between the teams at home on a bit of a high note. The Nets, who lost a second-half lead in a seven-point loss to the Celtics earlier this season and then fell 108-105 at Boston on New Year's Eve, topped streaking Minnesota in dramatic fashion their last time out.
Houston at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
Gerald Green put on an unprecedented two-game, long-range shooting show in franchise history and has apparently landed a gig with the Houston Rockets for the rest of the season. Green made 15 3-pointers in the past two games, and the Rockets are preparing to sign him for the rest of the campaign, as they enter Saturday's game against the host Detroit Pistons.
Chicago at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The struggling Indiana Pacers hope to have standout guard Victor Oladipo back in the lineup when they host the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. Oladipo has missed four straight games due to an injured right knee and Indiana has dropped five straight games overall.
Cleveland at Orlando 7:00 PM ET
After being short at the point guard spot for the last two months, the Cleveland Cavaliers could be on the verge of having too many players capable of running the offense. The Cavaliers will have Isaiah Thomas available for his second game of the season when they visit the Orlando Magic on Saturday and are anticipating the return of Derrick Rose.
Milwaukee at Washington 8:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks have been playing pretty good basketball of late, as long as they are not facing the Toronto Raptors. The Bucks will try to recover from another rout at the hands of the Raptors when they visit the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
New Orleans at Minnesota 9:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Timberwolves will try to bounce back from a difficult road trip and continue their success against the Western Conference when they host the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday. Losses at Brooklyn and Boston dropped Minnesota to 4-10 versus the East and it returns to the Target Center with a 20-6 mark against its own conference, including 11-1 at home.
Denver at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets are gaining confidence and aim to win for the sixth time in the past eight games when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Saturday. Denver continued a stretch of strong defensive performances by forcing the Utah Jazz into 17 turnovers during Friday's 99-91 home victory.
