January 05, 2019
Charlotte at Denver 5:00 PM ET
The Charlotte Hornets are heading back out on the road following a two-game homestand that showed off how good the team can be but also how terrible it can look when it's not at the top of its game. The Hornets will try to find some consistency when they begin a six-game trip by visiting the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.
Utah at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons ended an otherwise poor road trip with a win and will try to build some momentum at home when they take on the visiting Utah Jazz on Saturday. After losses in 12 of their previous 15 games, including the first three of the road trip, the Pistons picked up a 101-94 victory at Memphis on Wednesday.
Dallas at Philadelphia 7:30 PM ET
Jimmy Butler wore out his welcome in Minnesota, and now tensions are erupting in Philadelphia as the All-Star swingman reportedly is complaining about his role. The 76ers will look to sidestep the turmoil on Saturday, when they host the Dallas Mavericks.
New Orleans at Cleveland 8:00 PM ET
Among the many issues dogging the New Orleans Pelicans this season has been an inability to finish games on the road. They carry a six-game road losing streak into the second of two straight games away from home Saturday night at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Toronto at Milwaukee 8:30 PM ET
The top two teams in the NBA square off on Saturday, when the Milwaukee Bucks host the Toronto Raptors. Milwaukee, which owns the league's top record at 27-10, is seeking its sixth straight win and 10th in 11 games, while Toronto (28-12) aims to bounce back from being routed at San Antonio.
Memphis at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs will try to sneak in one more home win before the schedule begins to fill with road outings when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. Once the Grizzlies leave town, the Spurs will play five of their next seven, seven of their next 10 and 15 of their next 22 away from home.
Houston at Portland 10:00 PM ET
Star guard James Harden looks to record his sixth consecutive 40-point effort when the red-hot Houston Rockets visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday. The reigning MVP's torrid play has lifted Houston out of a lackluster start and the club is looking for its seventh straight win and 12th in its past 13 games.
Golden State at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors could be counted on to win a big game against an elite opponent in the previous four seasons, but things seem to be changing in 2018-19. The Warriors will try to bounce back from another tough loss when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.
