Jason Spezza and Chris Phillips each scored twice as the Ottawa Senators shaded the visiting Nashville Predators 4-3 Thursday night to halt a seven-game losing streak.

Spezza recorded his fourth multi-goal game of the season and added an assist to pace the Senators. He had just a lone assist during Ottawa's losing skid.

After Spezza opened the scoring less than five minutes into the game, Gabriel Bourque drew the Predators even in the latter stages of the period. The rookie forward streaked into the Ottawa zone and blistered a shot that beat Senators netminder Alex Auld for his second goal of the season.

Playing in his 1,000th career NHL game, Phillips restored Ottawa's lead 7:50 into the second period, whipping a low wrist shot past Nashville netminder Pekka Rinne for his first goal of the campaign.

After Patric Hornqvist drew the Predators even at 12:40, Spezza gave Ottawa its third and final lead by banging home a loose puck with 1:05 remaining in the period.

Phillips iced things with 6:25 left, converting on a man advantage for his first multi-goal effort since Nov. 19, 2009.

Nashville's Martin Erat made it a one-goal game with 8.6 seconds remaining, but the Predators couldn't net the equalizer.

The Senators honored former Ottawa forward Mike Fisher with a video montage during a stoppage in play that drew cheers from the Scotiabank Place crowd. Fisher spent his first 10 1/2 seasons in Ottawa after the Senators made him a second-round pick in 1998.
