Dahlin was alone in the left circle to snap a 24-game goal drought and tie it 2-2 at 18:25.
The goal was the 73rd of his NHL career, tying him with Mike Ramsey for second most by a defenseman in Buffalo history.
Forsberg put Nashville ahead 3-2 on the power play at 14:31 of the second period, sweeping a rebound on the doorstep.
Skjei pushed it to 4-2 at 15:13, burying a feed from O'Reilly from the slot.
Tuch narrowed it to 4-3 at 17:43 with a wrist shot from the left circle off the far post and in.
Forsberg beat Luukkonen over his left shoulder from the left circle to extend it to 5-3 at 6:58 of the third period.
Dylan Cozens pulled the Sabres to within one on the power play at 12:30 when he wristed a shot inside the near top corner from the left circle.
Benson appeared to tie it 32 seconds later, but the Predators challenged for offside and the goal was overturned after video review.
