Alouettes 21, Lions 16: Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 232 yards and accounted for three touchdowns as Montreal led from start to finish en route to knocking off the visiting Lions for the first time since 2015.

Adams completed 18-of-25 passes with a touchdown and added another two on the ground for the Alouettes (6-4), who had dropped their previous seven games to the Lions. William Stanback accumulated 133 yards from scrimmage and Quan Bray caught a touchdown pass for Montreal, which has won three consecutive games to open up a six-point lead for second place in the East Division.

Mike Reilly went 20-of-29 for 230 yards and a touchdown for the Lions (1-10), who have lost seven consecutive games. Bryan Burnham hauled in eight passes for 129 yards and a TD while Brandon Rutley gained 71 yards on 15 carries against his old team, but it wasn't enough as BC was held to fewer than 17 points for the third straight game.

Adams scored on a 1-yard sneak to put the Alouettes on top 7-0 and set a new franchise single-season record for most rushing TDs by a quarterback with his ninth of the year. Adams called his own number once more from 1-yard out to double Montreal's lead before Reilly connected with Burnham for a 40-yard touchdown with 1:19 left in the second quarter to pull the Lions within seven points at intermission.

Sergio Castillo kicked a pair of field goals (19 and 26 yards) as the Lions crept within one early in the fourth quarter before Adams responded by throwing a 4-yard scoring strike to Bray to put the Alouettes in front 21-13 with 7:26 remaining. Castillo drilled a 47-yard kick to cut BC's deficit to five with 2:40 to go and the Lions had the ball with 25 seconds left, but Montreal forced a turnover on downs to stay on track for a playoff berth.
