Swingman Jalen Jones scored a career-high 28 points as No. 20 Texas A&M opened SEC play with an impressive 92-69 rout of Arkansas on Saturday at College Station, Texas.

Jones connected on 9 of 13 shots, including four 3-pointers and multiple high-flying dunks, while leading the Aggies (11-2) to their fourth straight win. The 6-7 athletic senior raised his scoring average to 16.3 points and is emerging as an NBA prospect.

Jones will have to a catalyst if coach Billy Kennedy's team is to make a run in what appears to be a wide-open SEC, with Kentucky not looking as dominant as in recent seasons. The Aggies were picked to finish third in the conference, behind Kentucky and Vanderbilt, by the media in the preseason.

Texas A&M took command against the Razorbacks in the first half by hitting seven 3-pointers and roaring out to a 47-26 halftime lead. Arkansas missed all seven of its 3-pointers in the first half and never responded.

Jones had 16 in the first half for the Aggies.

It's the third loss in four games for the Razorbacks (6-7), who are off to an uneven start for coach Mike Anderson. They were no match for Texas A&M, which used a 19-2 run midway through the first half to take control.

Guard Danuel House scored 14 points, guard Alex Caruso added 11 points and guard Anthony Collins handed out seven assists for the Aggies. Texas A&M recorded 11 steals.

Guard Anthlon Bell led four Razorbacks in double figures with 16 points, and forward Moses Kingsley finished with 11 points and seven rebounds. Arkansas finished 6 of 16 from beyond the 3-point arc.
