No. 23 Notre Dame 73, South Florida 65: Jerian Grant scored 18 points and dished out eight assists as the visiting Irish came from behind to beat the Bulls for the eighth straight time.

Tom Knight added a career-high 17 points and seven rebounds in his first start of the season for Notre Dame (16-4, 4-3 Big East), which trailed by nine early in the second half. Eric Atkins chipped in with 13 points, Pat Connaughton had 12 and Jack Cooley grabbed 14 rebounds for the Irish.

Freshman Zach LeDay had a career-high 17 points to lead South Florida (10-9, 1-6), which was 1-of-10 from 3-point range in the second half. Anthony Collins added 12 points and eight assists for the Bulls.

Notre Dame led by as much as six in the first half before the Bulls scored 17 of the final 21 points to take a 35-28 lead at intermission. Collins had 10 points and South Florida shot 60.9 percent from the field, draining five of its 11 attempts from behind the 3-point arc.

The Irish built a 20-3 run early in the second half that included four 3-pointers – two by Atkins – to take a 48-40 lead. The Bulls were able to get within four, but no closer the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Notre Dame G Scott Martin has been ruled out indefinitely with a knee injury. Martin is averaging 7.9 points and shooting 46.5 percent from 3-point range. … Freshman Javontae Hawkins chipped in with 11 points for South Florida, his third double-figure output in the last four games. … Notre Dame shot 54 percent from the field overall and was 9-of-19 from behind the 3-point arc.
