Colorado 66, Southern California 60: Josh Scott scored 14 points and Spencer Dinwiddie had five of the Buffaloes’ 15 steals to help send the Trojans to their 10th consecutive Pac-12 road loss.
Askia Booker scored 12 points, Andre Roberson tallied 11 points and Sabatino Chen had 10 points and four steals as Colorado (11-4, 1-2 Pac-12) forced 23 turnovers and ended a two-game losing streak.
Eric Wise had 16 points and nine rebounds and J.T. Terrell scored 11 points for USC (6-10, 1-2), which has lost 14 consecutive road games overall.
The Trojans trailed 57-40 after Chen’s layup with eight minutes remaining before going on a sustained run. Byron Wesley’s 3-pointer pulled USC within six with 17 seconds left and he then stole the ball but the Trojans missed two shots and couldn’t make it a one-possession game.
The Buffaloes took the lead for good with nine straight points to take a 26-20 lead with 6:17 left in the first half. The lead reached 15 on a free throw by Roberson with 59 seconds left and Colorado led 41-26 at the break.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Buffaloes are 7-0 at home. … Terrell scored all his points in the second half while filling in for an injured Jio Fontan, who didn’t play in the final 20 minutes. … Colorado was just 14-of-26 from the free-throw line and was outrebounded 37-27.
