Rutgers 68, George Washington 65: Eli Carter scored 12 of his 19 points in the second half as the host Scarlet Knights squandered a 15-point first-half lead before launching a comeback of their own.

Myles Mack added 13 points - including a pair of free throws with seven seconds left - for Rutgers (6-2), which fell behind by four with 10:02 to go. The Scarlet Knights reclaimed the lead with 6:35 left and nearly let a five-point advantage slip away down the stretch. Kadeem Jack scored a career-high 12 points for Rutgers.

Freshman Patricio Garino hit a 3-pointer to bring George Washington to within 66-65 with 12 seconds remaining. After Mack's free throws, Garino's 3-point try with less than 2 seconds left was off the mark.

Isaiah Armwood scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half and added seven rebounds and four blocks for the Colonials (4-6), who lost their third straight game despite outrebounding the Scarlet Knights 40-24. Lasan Kromah and Garino added 10 points apiece.

George Washington committed 13 of its 23 turnovers in the first half as Rutgers had nine of its 15 steals en route to a 37-30 lead at intermission. George Washington began to solve the Scarlet Knights' full-court pressure and took its first lead at 49-48 on Nemanja Mikic's 3-pointer with 12:02 remaining.
