Arizona 66, UCLA 58: Solomon Hill had 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Wildcats over the Bruins in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 tournament.
Jesse Perry had 16 points and 12 rebounds and Kyle Fogg scored 13 points as fourth-seeded Arizona (22-10) advances to meet Oregon State in Friday’s semifinals.

Lazeric Jones scored 17 points and Jerime Anderson added 14 for fifth-seeded UCLA (19-14), which will miss the NCAA tournament for the second time in three seasons.

Arizona shot just 34.9 percent from the field but hit 31 of 36 free throws, including 24 of 27 in the second half. UCLA was just 10 of 16 from the line.

The Wildcats took the lead for good when Hill hit two free throws to make it 53-51 with 5:41 left. That was the start of a 10-2 surge that gave Arizona an eight-point lead with under three minutes remaining.

Arizona led 43-36 with 11 minutes left before UCLA went on a 10-2 run to take the lead on Tyler Lamb’s steal and fast-break layup with 8:16 remaining. The hoop marked the Bruins’ first lead since 2-1 in the opening minutes.

Travis Wear added 10 points for UCLA, which shot 39.7 percent from the field.

Arizona led by as many as 10 in the first half en route to a 29-23 halftime lead. Hill scored 14 first-half points.
