Anthony Hickey scored 20 points to lead Louisiana State to a 59-50 victory over Georgia Tech in the Charleston Classic in Charleston, South Carolina, on Sunday.
Andre Stringer hit four free throws in the final 38 seconds and finished with 11 points for LSU (3-2), who closed out the tournament with wins over the Georgia Tech and Western Kentucky after dropping its opener against Northwestern.
Hickey carried LSU offensively, hitting 8 of 13 from the field while the rest of the team shot just 13 of 50 (26 percent). The freshman point guard scored 13 points in the first half to pace the Tigers to a 28-24 lead at the break.
Neither team was able to gain much of an advantage in the second half until the final minutes, when LSU sealed it at the free throw line.

The Yellow Jackets head home for two games before a three-game road trip to start December.
