MISSISSIPPI 72, LSU 48: Terrance Henry surpassed the 1,000-point career mark with 21 points, and the host Rebels led from start to finish.

The victory snaps a three-game losing streak for Mississippi (16-12, 6-8 SEC) and ends a four-game winning streak for the Tigers (17-11, 7-7 SEC).

Henry and Nick Williams sparked the Rebels on offense, combining for 25 first-half points as Mississippi built a 34-24 halftime lead. Williams scored six points during a 9-2 run to start the second half, his basket with 13:13 to go staking the Rebels to a 43-26 advantage.

Williams finished with 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting, hitting three 3-pointers. Henry, who came in needing nine points to reach 1,000 for his career, shot 7-for-12 from the field.

The Mississippi defense smothered LSU leading scorer Justin Hamilton, holding him scoreless until the 5:52 mark of the second half. Hamilton finished with just two points. Storm Warren led the Tigers with 13 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
LSU head coach Trent Johnson was ejected with 7:17 left for arguing with game officials. … Williams has reached double figures in four of his past five games. … Henry is averaging 18.0 points in his past three games. … The Rebels’ previous five SEC victories came by an average of 5.8 points. … LSU shot under 33 percent from the field, its worst in SEC play this season.
