Erik Murphy scored 15 points and No. 14 Florida pulled away from visiting LSU 76-64 on Saturday.
The Gators (15-4, 3-1 SEC) extended their home winning streak to 16 games. Playing for the first time in a week, Florida took control after the first four minutes to win for the 10th time in 12 games.
Justin Hamilton scored a season-high 27 points with eight rebounds for the Tigers (12-7, 2-3 SEC), who lost for the fourth time in six games.
Florida used a 19-4 run to turn an early 10-4 deficit into a seven-point advantage. Patric Young scored the first six points on the surge, Kenny Boynton added five points, and a Bradley Beal 3-pointer with 8:44 to go gave the Gators a 23-16 lead.
Boynton and Erving Walker struggled from 3-point range, combining to go 1 for 10. But Murphy finished 3 for 4 on 3-point attempts, and the Gators shot 56.3 percent from the field. Beal added 11 points and eight assists.
