Rudd made a career-high five 3-pointers, including two early in the second half that pushed the lead to 15.
Jawanza Poland contributed 16 points and Anthony Collins had nine assists as South Florida (11-8, 4-2 Big East) improved to 10-1 at home.

Moe Harkless had 12 points, God’sgift Achiuwa 11 and Phil Greene 10 for St. Johns (8-10, 2-5), which has lost five of six games.
Poland had 12 points in the opening 20 minutes, including a 3-pointer with 20 seconds left that gave South Florida a 29-22 halftime lead. The Bulls used a 9-0 run to take control midway through the period as Ron Anderson Jr. had four of his nine points to key that run.
St. John’s was only 7-for-21 in the first half and turned the ball over nine times. Leading scorers Harkless and D’Angelo Harrison were a combined 1-for-8 from the field before halftime.
