Jason Clark broke out with a career-high 31 points and added five rebounds and four steals as No. 12 Georgetown topped host DePaul, 83-75, on Tuesday.
Henry Sims added 16 points and Hollis Thompson scored 14 for the Hoyas (15-3, 5-2 Big East), who have won back-to-back games after dropping a pair.
The senior Clark had to carry a heavier burden with sophomore guard Markel Starks out and did not disappoint, shooting 11-of-14 from the field and 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. Clark scored five points during a 9-0 run early in the second half to give Georgetown a 46-36 lead.
The Blue Demons fought back to within a basket but then went cold, going nearly four minutes without a basket as the Hoyas pulled back out in front.
Georgetown used a dominating performance on the inside to keep DePaul from getting second chances, building up a 43-18 advantage on the glass. Otto Porter lead the way with 15 rebounds for the Hoyas.
Cleveland Melvin collected 18 points and six rebounds and Brandon Young scored 16 points for the Blue Demons (10-8, 1-5).
