Bo Spencer scored 22 points as Nebraska overcame a slow start to defeat host Texas Christian 69-57 on Saturday.
Caleb Walker added nine points and eight rebounds for the Huskers (6-3), who defeated the Horned Frogs (7-3) for the fourth consecutive season by at least 12 points.
Coming off a 2-of-11 performance Wednesday in a one-point home win over Florida Gulf Coast, Spencer hit a number of clutch shots to keep Nebraska in control in the second half, finishing 7-for-12 from the field.
TCU had a 10-point lead with five seconds left in the first half, but Spencer sent Nebraska into the break with a dramatic half-court 3-pointer.
The shot seemed to energize the Huskers, who turned up their defensive intensity and came out of intermission with an 11-2 run as the Horned Frogs hit only one field goal over the first 8:10 of the second half. TCU shot only 6-for-26 from the field in the second half.
After getting beat in the post by the undersized Horned Frogs in the first half, Nebraska made a conscious effort to pound the ball down low over the final 20 minutes, securing a 20-8 edge in points in the paint in the second half.
Hank Thorns led all scorers with 18 points for the Horned Frogs, who saw their four-game winning streak come to an end.
