Elias Harris had 11 points and 15 rebounds as No. 18 Gonzaga rolled to its fifth consecutive victory with a dominant 73-53 win over visiting Notre Dame on Wednesday.
David Stockton and Robert Sacre scored 15 points apiece for Gonzaga (5-0), which opened the game with a 25-8 run. The Bulldogs have won 28 of their last 31 home games.
Playing its second game without injured co-captain Tim Abromaitis, the Irish (5-3) were led by Jerian Grant’s 16 points. An All-Big East preseason selection, Abromaitis suffered a season-ending knee injury last Friday.
Gonzaga, which faces Illinois and Michigan State in the next two weeks, forced 17 Notre Dame turnovers. The Bulldogs have forced 62 turnovers in their last three games.
Pat Connaughton scored 11 points for Notre Dame, which beat Gonzaga in South Bend by four points last season.
The Irish shot 20-of-52 (38.5 percent) from the field, including 2-of-14 (14.3 percent) from beyond the arc.
