Victor Rudd scored a career-high 30 points and South Florida scored 15 straight points in the second half to take control for an 81-67 victory over visiting Marist on Monday.
Rudd, playing his second game with the Bulls after his transfer from Arizona State, made 11-of-21 from the field and was 5-for-5 at the free throw line.
South Florida (2-0) trailed 46-42 with less than 15 minutes remaining before making its big run that was capped by three consecutive 3-pointers, two by Rudd.
Augustus Gilchrist added 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulls.
Dorvell Carter led five players in double figures for Marist (0-2) with 12 points.
Marist, which lost its opener by 50 at Kentucky, led by as many as three in the first half at 14-11.
The Bulls eased their way back in front and pushed the lead to six before settling for a 32-29 halftime lead. Rudd led South Florida with 10 points in the first 20 minutes.
South Florida got forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick back from a one-game suspension for playing in a non-sanctioned summer league game.
