Derrick Williams scored 20 points, including four decisive free throws in the final minute, and top seed Arizona held off Southern Cal 67-62 on Friday in the semifinals of the Pac-10 tournament in Los Angeles.
Jesse Perry scored 11 points, and Jordin Mayes and Jamelle Horne added eight points apiece for No. 15 Arizona (27-6), which will face No. 3 seed Washington in Saturday's final.
Southern Cal played without coach Kevin O’Neill, who was suspended after being involved in a verbal altercation with an Arizona booster Thursday night. Assistant Bob Cantu coached the Trojans.
Marcus Simmons scored a career-high 20 points to pace the fourth-seeded Trojans (19-14), who likely needed to beat Arizona to remain on the NCAA tournament bubble.
Nikola Vucevic, who scored 25 points in the Trojans’ 65-57 victory over the Wildcats on Feb. 24, finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
