Maryland wasted little time in breaking the game open, riding an early 22-0 run to an easy 95-40 victory over Colgate Tuesday night in College Park, Md.

The Raiders (1-12) scored the game's first basket but were held scoreless for the next 9:18 as the Terrapins (10-4) built their insurmountable 22-2 cushion. Maryland led at the half 43-17 and cruised the rest of the way.

Five players scored in double figures for the Terrapins, led by Adrian Bowie's 16 points. Jordan Williams added 12 and 11 rebounds for Maryland, while Joe Hoban scored 10 points to lead Colgate.

The Terrapins outrebounded the Raiders 51-26 and finished with a 46-14 scoring advantage in the paint. Colgate, meanwhile, shot just 26.2 percent (16 of 61) from the field and made just 3 of 17 attempts from 3-point range.
