Austin Freeman scored 15 of his game-high 23 points in the first half and Jason Clark added 20 points, helping Georgetown put away Tulane, 69-53, on Monday night in Washington.
The Hoyas (2-0) were never truly threatened after jumping out to a 20-8 lead in the first half behind 10 points from Freeman. The Green Wave crept back to within single digits at 36-27 with 16:28 to go, but Freeman hit a 3-pointer to set off another 13-3 surge that all but sealed the outcome.
Vee Sanford chipped in 10 points for the Hoyas. Kris Richard paced Tulane with 22 points.
