Brandon Nimmo hit a game-ending double with one out in the 10th inning as the New York Mets rallied for a 4-3 victory over the visiting New York Yankees on Wednesday.

The Mets won for the second time in their past 11 games and overcame committing two seventh-inning errors before allowing Isiah Kiner-Falefa's straight steal of home plate.

After Mets reliever Dominic Leone (1-2) retired Josh Donaldson with two on to end the top of the 10th, the Mets got their third walk-off win this year.

Mark Vientos struck out against Albert Abreu (2-2) before Nick Ramirez took over on the mound. Nimmo won it by hitting an 0-1 pitch off the top of the right field wall, touching off a wild celebration.

The Mets' Starling Marte hit a tying single off Ron Marinaccio in the seventh after Nimmo plated a run by getting plunked with the bases loaded. The rally was halted when Nimmo overran second on Marte's hit and was thrown out trying to scramble back.

Kiner-Falefa gave the Yankees a 3-1 lead in the top of the seventh after stealing second and taking third on a throwing error by Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez. On a 1-1 pitch to Billy McKinney, Kiner-Falefa was halfway down the line before Brooks Raley released the ball.

Kiner-Falefa easily scored as Raley's throw sailed high off Alvarez's glove and to the backstop.

Donaldson had opened the Yankees' seventh by drawing a walk, and Anthony Rizzo was then hit by a pitch. After Jeff Brigham fanned DJ LeMahieu, Kiner-Falefa chopped a grounder to shortstop Francisco Lindor.

Lindor made the clean underhand toss to Jeff McNeil for the force at second. McNeil then rushed the throw and the ball sailed slightly out of the reach of first baseman Vientos. Donaldson easily scored as Kiner-Falefa beat the throw by at least two steps.

Jake Bauers hit an RBI single in the sixth off the Mets' Justin Verlander to tie the game 1-1.

Yankees ace Gerrit Cole allowed one run on four hits in six innings. He struck out eight and walked none.

Tommy Pham hit an RBI double in the fifth off Cole, who retired the first 12 hitters.

Verlander gave up one run on three hits in six innings. He fanned six, walked none and ended his outing by getting Giancarlo Stanton to ground into a double play.

The Yankees have alternated losses and wins over their past seven games.
