Jurickson Profar hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the seventh as the Colorado Rockies erased a three-run deficit to top the host Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 on Wednesday in the rubber match of a three-game series.

Randal Grichuk added an RBI double, and Austin Wynns and Alan Trejo each had an RBI single for the Rockies, who have won eight of 10.

Colorado starter Antonio Senzatela, in his second game back after knee surgery last year, left in the third because of forearm tightness. The right-hander gave up three runs and four hits, with one walk and one strikeout.

Brad Hand (2-1) pitched 1 2/3 scoreless, hitless innings.

Pierce Johnson pitched the ninth for his sixth save.

Andrew McCutchen and Tucupita Marcano homered for the Pirates, who have lost nine of 10.

Pittsburgh starter Rich Hill pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing three runs (one earned) and four hits, with four strikeouts and two walks.

Robert Stephenson (0-1) gave up one run and two hits in the seventh.

In the second, the Pirates' Connor Joe walked. An out later, he was caught stealing, which cost Pittsburgh a run. Two pitches later, Marcano hit his first homer, to center, for a 1-0 lead.

With two outs in the third, Bryan Reynolds doubled off the wall in right. McCutchen tied the team lead with his seventh homer, to left, to boost Pittsburgh's advantage to 3-0.

That's when Senzatela left with a trainer and was replaced by Peter Lambert, who had not pitched since 2021 because of Tommy John surgery. Lambert pitched 2 1/3 scoreless, hitless innings.

In the fourth, Ezequiel Tovar walked and stole second. Two outs later, he scored on Grichuk's double to left to close it to 3-1. On a chopper that should have ended the inning, Ryan McMahon reached on Hill's fielding error. Wynns' base hit brought Grichuk home, and Trejo's single to right drove in McMahon to tie it.

With Stephenson pitching in the seventh, Wynns walked, Trejo singled to center and Charlie Blackmon walked to load the bases. Profar singled to left to score Wynns and give Colorado a 4-3 lead.
