Gunnar Henderson's two-run single in the sixth inning lifted the Baltimore Orioles past the visiting Boston Red Sox 3-2 on Friday night.

Henderson added a double and Cedric Mullins had three hits for the Orioles (73-65), who rallied from an early 2-0 deficit.

Xander Bogaerts had three hits including a homer for the Red Sox (67-72), who have lost four straight, and J.D. Martinez had two hits, including career No. 1,500.

Jake Reed (2-0) pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings for the win, and Dillon Tate later pitched 1 1/3 innings for his fourth save as Baltimore relievers tossed five scoreless innings on four hits.

Orioles starter Austin Voth allowed two runs on five hits over four-plus innings. He struck out five and walked two.

Brayan Bello (1-5) was dominant early for Boston, but ended up allowing three runs on three hits and four walks in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out seven.

The Red Sox went 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

Connor Wong doubled to center leading off the Boston third. Voth retired the next two batters, but Bogaerts smacked a 3-1 fastball just beyond the reach of a leaping Kyle Stowers for his 13th homer of the season.

The Orioles got to Bello in the sixth. Mullins reached on an infield single with one out and Adley Rutschman walked. When Anthony Santander walked to load the bases, manager Alex Cora lifted Bello in favor of Kaleb Ort. A wild pitch brought a run home and Ryan Mountcastle walked to reload the bases.

Henderson worked the count to 3-1 and then grounded a single to right past second baseman Story, scoring two runs to give the Orioles a 3-2 lead.

The Red Sox got two runners on with two outs in the seventh, but Orioles reliever Cionel Perez got Devers to pop out. In the eighth, Tate's fielding error put runners on first and third with two outs, but Tate rebounded to strike out pinch hitter Reese McGuire.
