Daz Cameron blasted a go-ahead, two-run home run and the host Detroit Tigers won their third straight game over the Minnesota Twins 3-2 on Thursday afternoon.

Cameron's first homer of the season allowed Detroit to collect four victories in the five-game series against the American League Central Division-leading Twins.

Eric Haase smacked a one-out single off Emilio Pagan (1-2) in the eighth inning before Cameron drilled a 1-0 cutter over the left-center field wall. Jonathan Schoop drove in the other Tigers run.

Alex Lange (3-1) picked up the victory with one inning of scoreless relief. Gregory Soto notched his 10th save by recording the last three outs. Starter Alex Faedo gave up two runs and five hits while striking out five in five innings.

Nick Gordon had two hits, a run scored and an RBI for Minnesota, which had been shut out the previous two games. Starting pitcher Chris Archer gave up one run on three hits in five innings.

The Tigers scored in the first but squandered an opportunity to build a bigger lead. Leadoff hitter Willi Castro was hit by a pitch. Harold Castro drew a walk and Schoop singled to left, scoring Willi Castro. Miguel Cabrera then lined out to second and Spencer Torkelson bounced into a double play.

Minnesota had a similar output in the third. Gordon led off with a single and Gio Urshela brought him home with a double down the left field line. Faedo retired the next two batters before walking Byron Buxton. Max Kepler then flied out, leaving the score at 1-1.

The Twins then took the lead in the fourth. Trevor Larnach drew a one-out walk and scored on Gordon's double over the head of left fielder Kody Clemens.

Minnesota had two baserunners with one out in the fifth but Faedo escaped that jam as Kepler flied out and Jorge Polanco grounded out.

Gordon reached third base the next inning with a two-out walk, a stolen base and a throwing error by catcher Eric Haase. Jason Foley then replaced Andrew Chafin on the mound and struck out Urshela.
