Todd Frazier hit a two-run home run to key a five-run fifth inning, and the visiting New York Mets went on to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays 6-3 on Wednesday night.

The victory gave the Mets a split of the two-game interleague set, and the teams finished at 2-2 in the season series.

Mets starter Corey Oswalt allowed two runs, five hits and one walk in four innings in his second major league start. The right-hander struck out two and did not factor in the decision.

Seth Lugo (3-3) allowed one run, three hits and struck out two in three innings to earn the win.

Jeurys Familia pitched a perfect ninth to post his 16th save of the season.

Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman (1-6) allowed six runs, six hits and four walks and struck out two in 4 2/3 innings.

Kendrys Morales had three hits for the Blue Jays, including a solo home run and a double, and Russell Martin finished 3-for-3.

Morales hit his ninth homer of the season with one out in the second inning to put Toronto ahead 1-0.

The Mets tied it in the third when Kevin Plawecki walked, advanced to second on a groundout and scored on Brandon Nimmo's single.

The Blue Jays regained the lead with a fourth-inning run when Morales doubled and scored on a single by Lourdes Gurriel Jr.

The Mets took a 6-2 lead in the fifth. Wilmer Flores led off with a single, and Frazier hit his 10th homer of the season. Plawecki doubled, Nimmo walked and Jose Bautista and Asdrubal Cabrera followed with RBI singles.

Luis Santos, recalled from Triple-A Buffalo for the game, replaced Stroman and was greeted by Michael Conforto's RBI single.

The Blue Jays cut the deficit to 6-3 in the sixth against Lugo on singles by Morales and Martin and a fielder's choice grounder by Gurriel.

Jerry Blevins entered in the eighth for the Mets, and after giving up Martin's third single of the game with two outs, was replaced by Robert Gsellman, who got the final out of the inning.
