Giants 7, Padres 5: Xavier Nady and Hunter Pence each homered in the top of the ninth off Huston Street and visiting San Francisco rallied to win the rubber match of the three-game series.

Street (2-1) gave up his first home runs of the season and suffered his first blown save when Nady hit a one-out, pinch-hit homer and Francisco Peguero singled before Pence homered to center field. Shane Loux (1-0) pitched a scoreless eighth for the win and Sergio Romo worked around a two-out single in the ninth for his 13th save.

The late-inning drama overshadowed a second consecutive rocky outing by Giants starter Tim Lincecum, who allowed home runs to Chase Headley, Logan Forsythe and Yasmani Grandal and left after giving up five runs (four earned) over six innings.

With the game tied in the fourth, the Padres moved ahead on Grandal’s solo homer and added to their lead with single runs in the fifth and sixth. Headley belted his 31st homer in the sixth and took over the NL lead with 113 RBIs.

The Giants inched closer with two runs in the eighth before Dale Thayer struck out Pablo Sandoval with two runners on to end the inning. San Francisco rested catcher Buster Posey, who is hitting an NL-leading .337.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Padres SS Everth Cabrera had four stolen bases, giving him 41 this season. … Lincecum is just the second Giants pitcher to allow three home runs in a game at Petco Park. The other was Noah Lowry in 2006. … The Padres lost for just the second time in 69 games when leading after eight innings.
