Orioles 3, Rangers 1:
Chris Davis and Brian Roberts homered to back 6 2/3 strong innings from Miguel Gonzalez as host Baltimore earned a split of the four-game series with Texas.

Gonzalez (7-3) allowed a run and four hits while walking a pair and striking out four for the Orioles, who allowed a total of two runs in the final two games of the series after serving up 16 in the first two. Two relievers bridged the gap to closer Jim Johnson, who worked a scoreless ninth for his 31st save.

Ian Kinsler homered and Ross Wolf (1-2) allowed two runs on three hits over six innings in his second career start for the Rangers.

Davis got it started with his major-league leading 34th home run in the second, blasting a 2-1 changeup from Wolf into the bleachers in right-center. Roberts made it a 2-0 lead in the third with a shot into the first row in right, and Nate McLouth singled in an insurance run in the eighth.

Kinsler ended Gonzalez's shutout bid with a towering homer into the seats in left in the sixth. Texas had a runner on second with no outs in the eighth but failed to score.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Baltimore OF Chris Dickerson (shoulder) missed his second straight game. … Texas recalled RHP Wilmer Font and LHP Joseph Ortiz, optioned RHP Josh Lindblom to Triple-A Round Rock and placed RHP Yu Darvish (right trapezius muscle) on the 15-day disabled list. … The Orioles will continue their homestand by hosting the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday while the Rangers will travel to Detroit for a three-game set against the Tigers.
