Giants 6, Rockies 3:
Tim Lincecum pitched 6 1/3 shutout innings to win his third straight decision and Xavier Nady had two RBIs as host San Francisco lowered its magic number to claim the National League West to seven.

Lincecum (10-14) allowed five hits, walked two and struck out six to beat the Rockies for the third time this season. He was relieved by Jeremy Affeldt, who needed one pitch to get pinch hitter Jason Giambi to ground into a double play with the bases loaded.

Nady had RBI singles in the second and sixth innings. He was released by Washington in June and is 6-for-18 in seven games with the Giants since being called up from Triple-A Fresno.

Hunter Pence added a sacrifice fly in the third inning and Marco Scutaro scored on a wild pitch in the seventh. Angel Pagan added to his club record with his 14th triple, which drove in a run, and Scutaro followed with his third hit of the game to make it 6-2.

Wilin Rosario hit his major league rookie-leading 25th homer in the eighth and Jeff Francis (5-6) allowed two runs and six hits in five innings for the Rockies, who have lost 11 of their last 13 games overall and on the road and fell to 4-12 against the Giants this season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rosario's homer tied Todd Helton's club record. ... Scutaro is hitting .396 (19-for-48) with nine RBIs and 10 runs scored in 11 games against his former team since being dealt just prior to the trade deadline. ... Rockies LF Carlos Gonzalez didn't start for the second straight game. He left Sunday's 12-11 loss at San Diego after the top of the sixth with left hamstring tightness and pinch hit Monday.
