Astros 7, Brewers 5: Jose Altuve collected four hits and J.D. Martinez drove in three runs - including a pair with a single in the eighth inning - as visiting Houston defeated Milwaukee for the first time in 12 contests.
Chris Snyder snapped a 4-4 tie with an RBI single in the seventh inning for the Astros, who bested their National League Central rival for the first time since May 1 of last season.
After Brian Bogusevic doubled to left and stole third in the seventh, Snyder deposited an offering from Jose Veras (2-1) into right field to give the Astros the lead.
Martinez provided insurance in the eighth by belting a shot back up the middle to plate Jordan Schafer and Altuve.
Wilton Lopez (2-0) relieved starter J.A. Happ and tossed one scoreless inning to pick up the win. Two relievers bridged the gap to Brett Myers, who worked around a triple in the ninth to secure his third save.
Ryan Braun belted his third homer in five contests, a two-run shot in the first inning. Braun also scored a wild pitch in the third and Travis Ishikawa and Corey Hart added solo homers for the Brewers.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Snyder's RBI single was just his third run driven in this season. ... Houston posted just its fourth win in its last 15 games. ... Martinez has a team-leading 18 RBIs on the season.
