Braves 10, Brewers 8:
Brian McCann went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and Dan Uggla singled home two runs in the eighth off Francisco Rodriguez to break a tie as Atlanta won its home opener.

Uggla finished with three hits and three RBIs. Craig Kimbrel earned his third save for the Braves, who have won three straight after starting the season with four consecutive losses.

Michael Bourn led off with a triple and ended the scoring with an RBI single as Atlanta scored six in the fifth inning for an 8-3 lead. McCann hammered a three-run homer to give the Braves a 5-3 advantage. Two batters later, Matt Diaz belted a two-run home run – his first homer since Aug. 29, 2010.

Corey Hart doubled in two runs in the sixth and belted a solo home run in the seventh as Milwaukee came back to tie it 8-8. In between, Ryan Braun lined a two-run single in the seventh.

Jonny Venters (1-0), who has not allowed a run in four outings, pitched the eighth to get the victory.

Back-to-back homers by Alex Gonzalez and George Kottaras gave the Brewers a 3-1 lead in the second.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Atlanta’s Chipper Jones was scratched from the lineup after batting practice Friday to have fluid drained from his knee. … Brewers starter Randy Wolf, who is 5-12 against the Braves lifetime, allowed eight runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings. … McCann has eight four-hit games in his career.
