Rays 6, Indians 0: David Price became the majors' first 13-game winner after allowing two hits in seven innings and B.J. Upton had a three-run double as host Tampa Bay salvaged a split of the four-game series.

Price (13-4), who won his fifth straight decision, struck out seven and improved to 5-0 with a 1.64 ERA lifetime against the Indians.

The Rays’ Luke Scott hit a solo homer off Ubaldo Jimenez (8-9) in the third inning when his drive to right field struck a catwalk in fair territory. Scott, who finished 2-for-4, is 14-for-33 in eight games against Cleveland dating to July 5. He was 0-for-41 against all others since singling in his first at-bat against Baltimore on June 1.

With two outs in the sixth inning, the Rays loaded the bases before Upton’s double down the third-base line chased Jimenez, who lost for the fourth time in his last five starts. He allowed five runs, seven hits, five walks and struck out five in 5 2/3 innings.

Price didn’t yield a hit until Jose Lopez’s single in the fifth inning followed a leadoff walk to Carlos Santana. Price got out of trouble, though, with the help of Jose Molina, who caught Santana trying to steal third base for the second out.

Jimenez got himself out of a jam in the fourth inning. With runners on first and third and none out, he fielded a bunt by Sean Rodriguez and tagged out Desmond Jennings at the plate before inducing Upton to hit in a double play.

Tampa Bay's Wade Davis struck out the side in the ninth to complete his two-inning relief performance.
