Gavin Floyd (1-2) picked up his first win of the season, going seven innings and allowing three runs -- one earned -- on five hits with five strikeouts.

Trailing 3-1 going into the seventh, the White Sox took advantage of miscues and got timely hits in the comeback.

Alex Rios led off for frame by reaching on an error and Mark Kotsay followed with a walk. A.J. Pierzynski had an RBI single before Kotsay and Pierzynski scored on a wild pitch from reliever Dustin Nippert to grab a 4-3 lead.

Konerko cushioned that lead with a solo home run in the eighth and followed with a two-run blast in the ninth to give Chicago a 7-3 edge.

Texas reliever Darren O’Day (0-1) took the loss in going 2/3 of an inning, allowing a run on one hit.

Justin Smoak hit his first major league home run and drove in two runs and Josh Hamilton had three hits for the Rangers.
