Jeimer Candelario belted a two-run homer and TJ Friedl also went deep among his three hits, lifting the visiting Cincinnati Reds to a 6-5 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.

The power display is nothing new for Candelario, who has belted six of his team-leading 12 homers in his last 10 games. He went deep twice and drove in all four runs in Cincinnati's 4-2 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday.

Elly De La Cruz had an RBI triple among his two hits and Jonathan India and Friedl each added a run-scoring single. Jake Fraley also had two hits as the Reds overcame five errors -- including three by De La Cruz -- to record their ninth win in their past 11 games.

Hunter Greene (5-2) improved to 5-0 in his past nine starts after allowing two runs on three hits with five walks and five strikeouts in five innings.

Three relievers bridged the gap to Alexis Diaz, who issued a bases-loaded walk to Joey Ortiz and an RBI single to Jackson Chourio. Jake Bauers was thrown out at the plate, however, and Diaz induced Blake Perkins to pop out to end the game and secure his 15th save of the season.

William Contreras launched a solo homer in the third inning and scored after an error by De La Cruz in the fifth.

The teams traded solo homers before Fraley had a one-out single off Freddy Peralta (4-4) in the fourth inning, stole second base and scored on India's single to right field.

Cincinnati extended its lead to 5-1 in the fifth inning as De La Cruz ripped an RBI triple before Candelario brought him home. Candelario deposited a first-pitch fastball from Peralta over the wall in right-center field.

Milwaukee scored a run in the fifth before the Reds responded in the sixth. India was hit by a pitch from Peralta, stole second and scored on a single to center from Friedl.

That spelled the end of the evening for Peralta, who took the loss after permitting six runs on 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings.
